The STS Group was the session sponsor of the second Green Hydrogen Summit Oman (GHSO), Oman's premier green energy forum that was held at Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre (OCEC) in Muscat from December 5-7, 2022. The summit, which brought together decision-makers and energy industry stakeholders from different countries around the world to Oman, was held under the patronage of the Oman’s Ministry of Energy and Minerals with the attendance of His Excellency Eng. Salim bin Nasser Al Aufi, Ministry of Energy and Minerals. 

The event highlighted Oman’s newly unveiled green hydrogen strategy, which envisions massive investments in a future low-carbon economy over the next three decades in addition to green hydrogen infrastructure and the value additives in the green hydrogen chain; partnership and investment in this field as well as green hydrogen projects in Oman. Additionally, the event served as a platform for various energy sectors stakeholders to outline their commitments to carbon neutrality in line with Oman’s own Net Zero target set out by His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik. Oman seeks to become one of the leading countries in the production of green hydrogen in the world. Accordingly, the Ministry of Energy and Minerals has worked on developing a strategy to ensure the growth of a green hydrogen economy. 

Over 1,000 delegates attended the GHSO Conference and Exhibition, underscoring its robust appeal to the local and international green energy industry. STS represented by its senior management representatives attended the technical and strategic sessions, where they met with specialists in the field and held discussions. With over 40 years of experience in the energy sector and having executed various prestigious projects in the GCC region, STS is geared to support Oman’s aim of achieving its sustainability goals of building a green and circular economy to address national needs.
